These are the scriptural bases for our attitude of doing whatever it takes to see that Chinese Tourists come to know our Lord Jesus and become involved in CPM within the borders of the mainland through this project.
Purpose and Overall Vision
Purpose:
To be involved in reaching Chinese tourists with the Gospel while they are traveling in outside China.
Vision:
1. Enlist teams of volunteers to participate in this work.
The work is the distribution of materials, drama, concerts, one on one encounters, showing the JFilm, all facets of evangelistic work possible directed at our focus group. These teams will primarily come from the USA, Singapore, Taiwan, Canada and Malaysia as the Lord opens the door for them to do so.
2. To reach 1,000,000 Chinese tourists per year – Anywhere.
This is a goal that we believe can be reached within seven to ten years if we get the resources we need. To give some perspective, this means that we will need the following: 3,195 packets per day, 313 days per year (everyday except Sundays). At least two teams of 8-10 persons working six days per week, 313 days per year. This will mean that during peak seasons (Chinese New Year, May 1-14 and October 1-14) we will need at least 5 to 6 teams working simultaneously six days per week at all locations.
Also, we have discovered that for every packet that goes into the hands of a Chinese tourist at least 7 to 10 persons will see the J-film and other pieces of literature included in the packet. That means if a team comes and distributes 1,500 packets in a weeks time, they will have provided the opportunity for some 10,500 to 15,000 lost Chinese people to find Jesus, people who would have little or no chance to find Him otherwise.
EndVision
Currently in China from 4-5% of the population is considered Christian, and that 15% to 20% is needed in order to have reached a Church Planting Movement critical mass among the Han in China. Our EndVision is to see that critical mass reached. Following the key elements of what it takes to get a CPM going, our part is a massive seed sowing project based outside China and hopefully spreading throughout Asia and the world that will lead to that.
